Inaugurating a new section with this provencal baby potatoes recipe. An exquisite garnish and easy to make! Besides being delicious, it is excellent in any dish. Because it is an ideal recipe to accompany red, white or fish meats.
Many times we do not know what to accompany our dishes. We run out of ideas or we are bored of always eating the same thing. Then I came up with this new segment on the website, garnishes. Recipes that, in addition to being rich, are easy and quick to make.
Let’s talk about the recipe:
Baby potatoes are potatoes but smaller in size, they are often used to accompany gourmet dishes. Due to its smaller shape, it makes dishes visually more delicate and with presence. They can be cooked in the microwave, steam, oven, boiled or fried. You can choose the way that is easiest for you.
To make this recipe, I chose the option of boiling the baby potatoes for a few minutes, only the time necessary to soften them but not too much. Because they are then sautéed with olive oil and if they are cooked too much, they fall apart (as happens with large potatoes).
This time I made provencal baby potatoes (garlic and fresh parsley). But you can safely use other types of ingredients when these are not to your liking. For example, some seasoning ideas might be rosemary, thyme, basil, oregano, garlic powder etc.
The oil used is olive because it gives them a characteristic flavor. Although if you do not have it or you do not like it, use sunflower oil, butter, margarine or some other with which you are used to cooking regularly. It should be noted that depending on which oil is used, it provides a certain particular flavor.
Hope you enjoy this simple recipe. Soon I will upload more garnish options and so you have more alternatives when it comes to accompanying your dishes.
